ISB’s PGPMAX gets featured in top 50 EMBA in the global Economist’s - Executive MBA programme rankings
ISB's PGPMAX (Post Graduate Programme for Senior Executives) has been ranked 43 globally in the ‘Economist's Which MBA- Executive MBA Programme’ rankings. ISB also gained the unique distinction of being the only B-School in India on the list.
The Economist's Executive MBA ranking is a comprehensive ranking of executive MBA courses around the world. ISB's PGPMAX is a 15- month global executive MBA level programme for senior-level employees with a minimum of 10 years of work experience.
The Economist has ranked the programmes on two broad measures- personal development/educational experience and career development. ISB's global ranking was ascertained based on parameters which included- percentage of faculty with a Ph.D., managerial work experience of senior executives; percentage increase of salary (pre and post programme); quality of the programme, etc. Classes that were surveyed for rankings included- Students of PGPMAX Co2020, alumni of class of 2016, class of 2017 and class of 2018.
Professor Rajendra Srivastava, Dean ISB, said, ‘Economist’s global ranking vindicates that ISB’s educational programmes equip its students and professionals to become globally competitive and facilitate them to become future-ready. The ranking also gave a high weightage to the quality and depth of our programme. With the fast-evolving global scenario, businesses should become more sensitive and flexible in tackling unpredictable challenges, and ISB, through its multi-pronged approach, is redesigning its educational models to address this imperative, underlined the Dean.”
A few parameters where ISB’S EMBA (PGPMAX) scored high are- student rating of facilities (#3); student rating of teaching quality (#4); managerial work experience years (#5); percentage increase on a pre-EMBA salary after two years (#9); percentage increase on a pre-EMBA salary after one year (#9); student rating of programme content (#10). In all these parameters, ISB ranked among the top 10.
