Our students have made us proud time and again. We are delighted to announce that this year too, the Net Impact Club at ISB has retained its GOLD Status. This is the third consecutive year that the efforts and achievements of our PGP class have been recognised, and this year, we ask the Class of 2019 to take a bow!
 
Net Impact is a nonprofit membership organisation for students and professionals interested in using business skills in support of various social and environmental causes. It inspires and equips emerging leaders to build a more just and sustainable world.
 
The gold status recognises chapters which go above and beyond in providing their members with opportunities to make an impact in their community, learn and grow as individuals, and engage with the larger Net Impact community. Gold chapters earn exclusive benefits at the Net Impact Conference, recognition on Net Impact’s website and consideration for Chapter of the Year.



The ISB chapter was evaluated on various parameters and activities. Every year, the Net Impact club organises various events that aim to impact society at large. The Class of 2019 conducted several impact making activities around the year: raising funds for NGOs, conducting blood donation camps, Bandhan – designed to help children from underprivileged backgrounds and those with special needs, Joyathon – a community participation event to promote giving, ISB Impact Forum (IIF) – a summit that saw the participation of 25+ speakers, 50 social enterprises and 200+ participants from all over the country, providing opportunities to interact and network with global business leaders in the social sector.


 
IIF 2019 also hosted ‘Diffusion’, a capacity building workshop for NGOs and ‘Business for Impact’, a summit to drive dialogue across stakeholders within the social development sector through a combination of keynote sessions and panel discussions on agriculture, healthcare, clean tech and tech for social good.
 
The ISB chapter (first in Asia) began in 2003, and over the years, the Club has used its business skills, which have been developed with lots of corporate exposure, to solve social problems. The club aims to foster a sense of lasting social responsibility and to inspire student interest in applying business skills towards positive social impact. This year the new club members of Net Impact are going to take the previous year’s activities, hard work, and support from school as the example and hope to take their responsibility towards society through this platform to a new level.
