Stock pitch competition organised for ISB students

Students at the Indian School of Business (ISB) recently participated in a stock pitch competition. The competition was organised at the School by the NSE-ISB Trading Laboratory in association with Franklin Templeton Investments.
 
Eighty eight students from across both campuses, Hyderabad and Mohali, participated in the initial written test round. Half the competitors were eliminated from the initial list of 88 to a set of 44 students who were shortlisted based on various parameters and advanced to the second round of the stock pitch competition.
 
After further rounds of rigourous evaluation of the shortlisted participants, a select group of 21 contestants were chosen to form seven teams of three members each, which would compete with each other in the final round. The final winners of the competition were the CMD team who walked away with the title prize of Rs 150,000. The runners up, the Pitcher Perfect group won Rs 100,000.
 
Further, each of the contestants from the final seven participating teams would be trained by expert analysts and money managers from Franklin Templeton Investments in the art and science of stock picking and analysis.
