The ISB Alumni Family Business Network (ISB FaB) conducted a high-profile first-of-its kind roundtable discussion on Friday, 29 August, 2014. The topic of discussion was “Family Business - Challenges, Issues and Advantages”.

It was a rare opportunity for the eleven alumni who registered for the event, where they engaged in a candid and personal interaction with Mr Adi Godrej (Chairman, Godrej Group and Chairman of the Board, ISB) and Mr Sunil Kant Munjal (Joint Managing Director of Hero Moto Corp Ltd., Chairman of Hero Corporate Service Ltd. and Chairman, Mohali Campus Advisory Board, ISB).
 
The industry leaders and alumni were joined by Ajit Rangnekar, Dean, ISB and Savita Mahajan, Deputy Dean, ISB at the roundtable discussion.
 
The corporate leaders actively engaged with the participants addressing their various questions and concerns. In the process they also shared their various experiences about succession planning, conflict management and the values and principles that have guided them over the years.
 
As founding mentors to the ISB Alumni Family Business Network, both Mr Godrej and Mr Munjal, expressed their encouragement towards the initiative and committed enhanced support going forward. In addition to the discussion being an immensely enriching experience for the attendees, the esteemed guests greatly enjoyed the interaction. The continued conversation extending long beyond the committed time bore witness to the intimate and engaging format of the evening.
