PROFESSOR VIKRAM KURIAN IS MEMBER OF THE SECONDARY MARKET ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Professor Vikram Kurian is Member of the Secondary Market Advisory Committee. Professor Vikram Kurian, Clinical Professor of Finance at the Indian School of Business (ISB) has been chosen to be on the Secondary Market Advisory Committee (SMAC) with effect from September 13, 2011. Set up by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the committee will advise on matters relating to the secondary market.
The SMAC is required in light of the greater interest shown by both domestic and foreign investors in India's capital market. Amongst the activities of the SMAC is to review the developments in the secondary market and recommend measures for improving market safety, efficiency, transparency and integrity.
