Professor Sankar De invited to participate in panel discussion as part of CII-Brookings Conference

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Brookings Institution are co-hosting a conference titled The U.S.-India Economic and Financial Partnership” on June 27 in Washington D.C. The conference will coincide with the second bilateral meeting of the U.S.-India Economic and Financial Partnership and will feature a moderated discussion between U.S. Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner, and Indian Minister of Finance, Pranab Mukherjee.

 

 
Professor Sankar De, Executive Director of the Centre for Analytical Finance at the Indian School of Business (ISB), has been invited as a speaker in a panel discussion on “Increasing Access to Capital to Stimulate Sustainable Economic Growth: The Road to Deepening India’s Capital Markets”. Other panelists in the session are Raghuram G. Rajan, Professor of Finance at the Chicago Booth School of Business, and Mary Miller, Assistant Secretary for Financial Markets, U.S. Department of the Treasury. The keynote for the session will be given by U.K. Sinha, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).The discussion will be moderated by Uday Kotak, MD of Kotak Mahindra Bank.
