The Indian School of Business (ISB)team, comprising of Santosh Mohanram and Bhavna Anand, emerged as “National Champions” at the 8th National Competition for Management Students (NCMS) 2011. The competition, organised by the All India Management Association (AIMA), is designed to provide management students a unique platform to hone their knowledge and test their business acumen. The theme this year was “Building Sustainable Indian Multinationals – Agenda for Action.”
The teams were first judged at their respective Regional Centres (Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi) based upon a 1500-2000 word report and an oral presentation. The two best teams from each regional round then delivered a final presentation in New Delhi. The ISB team was first declared as the “Regional Winner” of the NCMS northern regional round and was invited to participate in the grand finals in New Delhi, where they emerged as the competition winners.
Participants worked on issues such as organizational changes required to succeed in the globalised world and the successful business practices that Indian organisations can adapt from multinational organisations.
