Merit gets a step up at ISB

ISB students will now have access to more number of scholarships. Recently, ISB has received support from alumnus Neeraj Arora and Hilti India, who have pledged scholarships for students joining our Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP).  Neeraj Arora, ISB alumnus and Vice President at WhatsApp, has instituted a perpetual merit-cum-need scholarship exclusively for a deserving woman student joining the PGP. The first recipient of the scholarship is Salini Tiwari, a dental surgeon from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. This is the second such scholarship from an individual ISB alumnus. The first perpetual scholarship being the Phoenix Nurture India scholarship instituted by Amit Khanna, alumnus, and Founder, Phoenix Holdings, who has awarded ten scholarships over the years supporting students who are the sole earning members in their families. Every year, seven scholarships are supported by ISB alumni through the alumni endowment fund.

The support from Hilti India comes in the form of tuition waivers to four students- minimum two women, each year for the next five years. Hilti, a European giant, provides worldwide leading edge technology, software and service provider is committed to promoting education, including special education and employment enhancing vocational skills.

ISB’s aim is to ensure that every deserving student has access to world class education and is not constrained due to lack of financial resources.  The School awards merit and need based scholarships to deserving students, selected on the basis of exceptional academic and professional performance, as well as personal qualities such as leadership, integrity, and community service. Additionally, the School also reaches out pro-actively to corporates and individuals who are committed to support excellence in education. The result is a large pool of scholarships available to ISB students.

The increased number of scholarships will help ISB in reaching out to the best talent among aspirants hailing from diverse backgrounds, small towns, women students and international candidates which, in turn, will contribute to the idea of inclusive growth.
