An entrepreneurial culture with accountability are what organisations are looking for in future employees, Vipin Sondhi, CEO & MD, JDB India Ltd., told students of the Indian School of Business recently when he visited the Hyderabad campus of the School.

Taking time off from his busy schedule, Sondhi spent an evening with students sharing his corporate experiences and valuable nuggets of wisdom. Taking the gathering through JCB’s structure and his management mantra, the senior executive transformed his experiences into learnings that the students could take away.

Some of his wonderful thoughts are captured below:
"Downturns and recessions will happen, and you will survive them," he said stressing that the customer should be at the heart of all actions, not limited to just the ones that they can see.

"In India, we all love maximum utilisation of any product we buy, so much so, that at times we use it for things other than its intended purpose… therefore you want your product to succeed, make a product that is extremely versatile."

His love for sharing his knowledge and broader connect with the students was evident in the ease with which he interacted with the students making the whole experience inclusive.
