ISB receives support from Bajaj Auto to expand its Learning Facilities and Scholarships

The Indian School of Business (ISB), with campuses at Mohali and Hyderabad, has announced that it has received financial support from Bajaj Auto to further enhance its learning resources for its research and education activities. Bajaj Auto has also instituted three scholarships to support deserving and meritorious students of ISB’s Post Graduate Programme (PGP).

In recognition of this contribution, the School has named the library at its Hyderabad Campus, as the Bajaj Auto Library. It was inaugurated by Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi in the presence of ISB Chairman Adi Godrej, Rahul Bajaj, ISB Board Directors and the School leadership.

Announcing this, Rahul Bajaj, Chairman, Bajaj Auto, Ltd, said, “ISB has acquired an international reputation for its academic work in imparting post-graduate education. Bajaj Auto considers it to be its duty and responsibility to support such institutions.”

Learning resources are fundamental to an educational institution especially to a research-focused institution such as ISB. The financial support of Rupees 30 crores from Bajaj Auto will enable the School to provide world-class learning resources to its faculty and students through its library. In addition, the Bajaj Scholarships will empower ISB to provide financial support to deserving students. Three students from the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) will be selected as Bajaj Auto Scholars.

Thanking the Bajaj Group for its support, Ajit Rangnekar, Dean, ISB said, “We would like to place on record our deep appreciation for the leadership of Bajaj Auto, for its continued support to ISB over the years. ISB hopes to significantly enhance its contribution to the industry, government and society through its research and education activities and support from corporates will play an important role in helping the School to make an impact.

ISB has been founded by the philanthropic contributions of several corporations, individuals, and foundations. It is a testimony to the model that world class institutions cannot be built without such support. The school actively engages and seeks help from corporates and individuals to support its research agenda.
