ISB Leadership Summit – Designing Future Strategies

The 13th edition of the ISB Leadership Summit at the Indian School of Business (ISB) concluded on a high note with more than 50 speakers and around 1000 delegates participating in the event across the Mohali and Hyderabad campuses. The flagship programme of the Graduate Student Board at ISB, ILS was started with the objective of providing a platform for tomorrow’s leaders to learn, listen and connect with today’s leaders.
What makes ILS unique is that it allows students to put their leaning into practice – How to plan and strategise, timely and right decision making, marketing and branding, ideating and innovating, managing people, finances and crisis, thereby giving them a platform to lead from the front.
The Graduate Student Board and the ILS team displayed their mettle in bringing together several eminent leaders - corporate honchos, political leaders, new age entrepreneurs, life coaches, former heads of armed forces, artists from various disciplines of performing arts , ISB alumni and others sharing their thoughts or taking part as panel members in engaging discussions. The theme for this year, “Strategy Next: Designing for a better India” prompted widespread discussions on understanding how well equipped we are as a nation to tackle the challenges ahead of us.
Some of the participating speakers were Pramath Sinha, Founder and CEO 9.9 Mediaworx, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Partner, Rare Enterprises, Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister for Urban Development & Parliamentary Affairs, Michael Pelletier--Deputy Chief of Mission, US Embassy, Mukund Rajan, Chief Ethics Officer & Brand Custodian, TATA Sons, D ShivaKumar, CEO, Pepsico India, Punit Soni, CPO, Flipkart, SS Rajamouli, noted film director among others.
Topics discussed at the summit ranged from the Make in India ideology, the X factor of the Indian missile programme, the spurt of entrepreneurship in India, the necessity of ease of doing business in India and the importance of a sound infrastructure, Coming of age of the healthcare sector in India, ethics in corporate India, Lessons in Leadership, Women leaders in Business, Innovation and design thinking and many more.
From networking lunches to listening to the leaders on the stage, ISB students had an action packed and inspiring weekend.
