ISB and South Central Railways ink MoU to collaborate on capacity building and research
The Indian School of Business (ISB) has joined hands with the South Central Railway (SCR) for capacity building and joint research. Professor Rajendra Srivastava, Dean, ISB exchanged the MoU document with Vinod Kumar Yadav General Manager, South Central Railway (SCR) on December 5, 2016.
As a part of this collaboration, ISB will design and deliver leadership lectures and workshops for the benefit of railway officers. The leadership lecture series will be led by ISB’s faculty in areas such as strategy management, negotiations skills, organizational behaviour and change management to name a few. Delivering the first lecture Dean Srivastava, said that research, inquiry and managerial action are the key elements that enable multi-disciplinary thinking which are critical in building an organisation.

The capacity building workshops to for officers of the South Central Railway will focus on latest trends and best practices in the form of classroom sessions covering topics such as infrastructure, project management, supply chain management, customer relationship management, marketing strategies, value added services, revenue management among others.
Both ISB and SCR will support each other on the research front. Field based and experiential learning projects covering critical issues like business innovation, supply chain and fiscal management, brand capitalization etc. will also be undertaken by both the parties as a part of this collaboration.
This partnership of the school is yet another step towards fulfilling our obligation towards nation building.
