Our Hyderabad campus, on Friday, 6 June, hosted K Taraka Rama Rao, Minister for Information Technology of the new state of Telangana. He was received by Ajit Rangnekar, Dean, ISB and senior members of the faculty and management. Also present on the occasion was Professor P J Narayanan, Director of International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT-H).
 
Interacting with them, The Honourable Minister shared his plans for the growth of the Information Technology sector in the new state, particularly in the area of entrepreneurship and innovation, and expressed his keen desire to explore ways in which the government and the ISB could collaborate to strengthen the overall ecosystem. 
 
Speaking at the interaction, Ajit Rangnekar said, “We welcome The Honourable Minister to the ISB and are appreciative of his interest in the School. The ISB has been working closely with successive governments and the industry in the state over the years, and contributing to its growth. Now with the birth of Telangana, we believe it is our responsibility to share our expertise and knowledge and partner with the government in contributing to the growth and development of the new state.”
