The editors, in summarizing the views of all stakeholders such as bureaucrats, industry leaders and OEMs have outlined areas of common grounds and the methodology to achieve synergy of thoughts. The book is a one of its kind in existence and will serve as a guide to the policy needs of the future irrespective of what finally goes into the policy.

The Munjal Institute for Global Manufacturing at ISB has the mandate of improving manufacturing in India. The institute strongly feels that Indian manufacturing can best improve by the infusion of critical technology and cutting edge R&D as enablers to move up the value chain. The Institute is actively involved  in bringing the government, Industry and defence OEMs on a common platform through its Swavalambhan series of national seminars. The next such seminar will be held in Nov 2015 and will provide a useful critique on the DPP 2015 which shall be released by then.
