Blood Donation Drive at ISB
The poorest people of the society who get treated at the government general hospitals often run short of blood. To help this section of the society, the Thomas Schmidheiny Centre for Family Enterprise has been organising a blood donation camp with support from the students of the Net Impact Club at the ISB’s Hyderabad campus since last year. The camp is organised in collaboration with the Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM) - Central Blood Bank, Narayanguda, Hyderabad, which has been serving the poor and needy for the past 50 years.
This year too, the camp got a good response from the ISB community. Thanks to the students of the Net Impact Club of the PGP Class of 2018, the camp saw enthusiastic participation from the ISB community successfully donating blood. Every single unit of the blood donated to the blood bank will be put to best of utilisation and reach the needy patients free of cost. IPM was very much touched by this gesture and conveyed their gratitude to the ISB community.
