Blood Donation Camp

Recently, a voluntary blood donation camp was organised by the Net Impact Club at the Indian School of Business (ISB) in collaboration with the Red Cross Society, Hyderabad. The event saw 206 volunteers, including students, staff, faculty, spouses and alumni, donating blood. Red Cross will use the collected blood for children with Thalassemia, who need regular blood transfusion.

There were quite a few volunteers who donated blood for the first time. According to Saumya KS, PGP Class of 2012, “I was initially a bit skeptical about donating blood. But seeing the response of the students, I realised this is my best chance to start and made up my mind to donate. I feel really proud of myself and will be a regular blood donor.”

This camp was the Net Impact Club’s first initiative on campus for the year 2011.
