Advaita - ISB's International Management Fest

For the very first time, Advaita ISB’s International management Fest was celebrated across both the campuses at Hyderabad and Mohali. With prizes worth INR 18 lakhs,Advaita witnessed more than 2000 registrations from about 5000 students and 40 top B-schools across the world.

17 professional and 12 social clubs from ISB came together to organise the event and came up with a variety of competitions to challenge the students. Competitions such as Consilium(Consulting Case Challenge), Mercado (Retail Case Challenge), Beat the Clock (Business Quiz) and C-Suite (Best CEO Competition) among others. The finalists for these events included students from the top business schools in India such as ISB, IIM A, IIM B, XLRI, and SP Jain Institute of Management & Research among others.

The competitions were judged by eminent industry leaders and professors such as Mr. Vivek Atray, IAS. Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula and Marzdi Kalianiwala, VP - BI at Ashish Hemrajani, the CEO of Big Tree, addressed the students congregated for the event and gave them tips to improve upon their business acumen. The C -Suite, competition tested tomorrow’s CEOs on their skills in facing the media in various testing scenarios and was judged by Dinesh Kumar, Associate Editor of Tribune and Dinker Vashisht, our own alumnus and a former member of the media.

The event at Hyderabad campus was inaugurated by Manjusha Nair (CPE - SAP Labs) and the panelists included Vikram Gupta (Director, Man’s World), Gaurav Pandey (Actor, Man’s World), Aditi Mittal (Actor AIB Fame), and Pinky Reddy (GVK Group).

Advaita provided a platform to students from top B-schools to put their learning to practical use and interact with their peers from different institutes. Arushi Shinghal a student of the PGP Class of 2016 says, ‘Advaita provided me the opportunity to compete with the best minds in B-schools, learn from the feedback of the eminent judges and make friends from different B-schools.

The event closed with a touch of glamour where,Tamannah, a South Indian actress was the Chief Guest and Shilpa Reddy, Mrs. India Gladryx, was the Guest of Honour for the fashion show in which over 100 students participated. It was the perfect combination of understanding retail, merchandising and fun.
