ISB hosts Shri Venkaiah Naidu, Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting
“Dr Abdul Kalam had said that if you have your goals set and if you work hard no one can stop you.” Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting Shri M Venkaiah Naidu said while addressing the students of Indian School of Business (ISB) on August 14, 2016. He was at ISB for the valedictory session of the Mid-Career Training Programme (MCTP) - Phase IV for Indian Information Service (IIS) Officers.

“Hard work, discipline, commitment, focus, consistency and the desire to learn can make you successful. It’s by pursuing these qualities a person who sold newspapers could become president of the country, a person who sold tea could become the prime minister and if I, who hails from the farming community, could become the All India Party President, something I never imagined to be possible.”
In his poignant and emphatic message to the students he urged them to go abroad but asked them to return if they wanted to derive satisfaction from their achievement. “You should always be willing to take knowledge from others. Go abroad learn, earn and return because you have to take care of your own people.”
He eulogised the efforts of the government in weeding out corruption, arresting leakages, developing speedy delivery mechanism and bringing in transparency.Highlighting the various programmes of the government he said “The government is striving to increase growth for the betterment of the people, for more economic empowerment and for a more comfortable life."
He spoke with fervor on matters of national security and growth of the country. His quips and his inimitable style elicited applause and laughter in the hall that was packed wall to wall.
“You are the future leaders of business and as leaders you must acquire as much knowledge as possible. Learning process is continuous and everyone should learn. Try to enjoy and take advantage of the useful experience in this prestigious institute,” he said.
