Professor Raghu Bommaraju is the winner for the 2019 Doctoral Dissertation Award (sponsored by the Stephen Stagner Sales Excellence Institute at the University of Houston) for his dissertation entitled “The Impact of Mergers and Acquisitions on the Sales Force”.
Professor Kiran Pedada has been chosen as winner for the 2019 AMS Mary Kay Dissertation Award.

Professor Rajendra Srivastava has been selected as a 2020 AMA Fellow. The distinction of “AMA Fellow” is given to those who have made significant contributions to the research, theory and practice of marketing, and/or to the service and activities of the AMA over a prolonged period of time.

Professor Krishnamurthy Subramanian had the following achievements:

  • Participated in a pre-budget meeting of economists and sector experts with the PM, FM and other senior Cabinet ministers on 10th January 2018.
  • Chosen to Chair the “Working group on risk management for interoperability of stock exchanges” by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
  • Nominated as member of the Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Academy.
  • Appointed as member of the Primary Markets Advisory Committee (PMAC) by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). This committee is headed by Mohandas Pai.
  • Appointed as member of the Secondary Markets Advisory Committee (SMAC) by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). This committee is headed by Prof. J R Varma.

Professor Sanjay Kallapur has been elected as an International Council member-at-large of the American Accounting Association. It is a leadership position supporting AAA's focus on internationalization.

Professor Snehal Awate has been invited to join the editorial review board of the Transnational Corporation Journal. This is the official journal of the United Nations, managed by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). It focuses on MNCs, investment, and development.

  • Professor Sridhar Seshadri has been elected Fellow of the POMS Society.  He has been ranked in the International Journal of Production Economics Article on Rankings of Supply Chain Management Faculty as one of the most prolific researchers in the area of Supply Chain Management for Europe/Asia.
  • Professor Krishnamurthy Subramanian has been Reappointed to the Board of Bandhan Bank for a period of five years till June-2023, Board of National Institute of Bank Management, Pune for a period of three years till June-2021 and Board of Alternative Investments Advisory Committee, a Standing Committee of SEBI headed by Shri. Narayana Murthy. He has also been appointed as a member of the Working Group on Graduate Insolvency Programme constituted by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India. The other members of the Working Group are T. V. Mohandas Pai (Chairman, Manipal Global Education), P. R. Ramesh (Chairman, Deloitte India), Sumant Batra (President, Society of Insolvency Practitioners of India), Dr. Sameer Sharma (Director General, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs), and Dr. M. S. Sahoo (Chairperson, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India).

  • Professor Ramabhadran Thirumalai has been appointed in the following Committees:

The BSE Price Resetting Committee, which looks at re-setting price bands for stocks in the XC, XD and XT sub-segments of the BSE.
The Risk Management Committee of the India International Clearing Corp. Ltd., which will clear and settle all trades executed on the soon-to-be inaugurated India International Exchange based in GIFT City.

Professor Prajapati Trivedi has been selected as the recipient of the International Public Administration Award by the American Society for Public Administration. 
The International Public Administration Award is given to an individual who: holds citizenship in a nation other than the United States; lives and works (primarily) in a nation other than the United States; and contributes significantly to the field of public administration as a scholar, practitioner or both, as demonstrated by publications, awards and honors, and testimony by the recipient’s colleagues and beneficiaries of the recipient's work.

  • Professor Sundar Bharadwaj’s paper “Rethinking Customer Solutions: From Product Bundles to Relational Processes” (Kapil R. Tuli, Ajay K. Kohli, and Sundar G. Bharadwaj), which appeared in July 2007 issue of Journal of Marketing, has been selected as the winner of the 2017 JM Sheth Foundation Long Term Impact Award.
 This award honors the best article published in the Journal of Marketing that has made long term contributions to the field of marketing.
  • Professor Anindya Ghosh participated as an invited scholar at Tilburg University for their PhD research days.

  • Ankit Jain, fourth year FPM student in Finance received an international student travel grant of $1,500 from American Finance Association.
  • Prakash Satyavageeswaran, fourth year FPM students in Marketing had a joint research proposal with faculty which was approved for a grant of approx. US$ 10,000 from the Marketing Science Institute.
  • Saipriya Kamath & Pratik Goel, final year FPM students in Accounting won 2 of 3 best paper awards at IMR Doctoral Conference, IIM Bangalore

Professor Tarun Jain’s project titled "Understanding career choice in a developing country: Reading the minds of high school students in India?" has been approved for funding by the IGC for an amount of GBP 54,923 (approx. Rs. 55 lakh).

  • Prasanna Tantri has been selected by IGC State Commissioning Board for a funding of GBP 13,640 for “Analysing the impact of government interventions in agriculture on consumption” with co-authors Mrinal Mishra and Nagaraju Thota.
  • Professors K.Vaidyanathan, Ram Thirumalai, Vikram Kuriyan and Prasanna Tantri (Sr.AD) & Venkatesh Ramamoorthy (Researcher) from CAF have won $60,000 from Coursera for developing a 4 module specialization on Investment Management.
September 2015
Professor Ashwini Chhatre, in collaboration with the University of Michigan and the University of Colorado at Boulder, received a grant of USD 52000 for his research proposal titled “The Emergence of Adaptive Governance Arrangements for Tropical Forest Ecosystems in India.”

Professor Ashwini Chhatre was also awarded a grant of USD 33000 for his proposal on “Research Support for Sentinel Landscapes” in collaboration with Agro Forestry Centre.

As Professor Chhatre is the CO-PI for these grants, these will be shared with other Universities.

Professor Milind Sohoni has been awarded the USIEF’s Obama–Singh 21st Century Knowledge Initiative award of $ 190,000 for the project “Cooperative-competitive, data-driven, operational strategies for extremely resource-constrained settings in emerging economies.” The proposal was prepared in collaboration with Professor Lavanya Marla, Assistant Professor of Industrial & Enterprise Systems Engineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
