Abstract:
Organizations routinely rely on teams to solve their most pressing problems. However, not every team is able to achieve their desired objective. Recent advances suggest that when team members learn from their members, they are more likely to be successful in workplace. So, how exactly do teams learn? Unfortunately, researchers do not agree on a common idea. I will describe the major perspectives drawn from psychology, and mainstream organizational behavior as to how learning happens amongst individuals working in teams. I will highlight the current debates, key research findings, and some speculation on future research agenda.
